Decision Pressure + Gold Beneath Fear

Making Decisions Under Pressure

Some decisions carry significant weight.

Especially when it comes to intimate relationships, career and health.

How do we manage these times when we know there is a very real, potentially catastrophic consequence?

Rushing will not do.

But neither will freezing, stalling or approaching from a stressed, incoherent state.

You need to be solid in yourself. And yet flowing, open, receptive.

What a skilful thing, to embody that paradox.

I've had my fair share of challenging times, and guided others to find their bearing within their own challenges... and there's some essential knowledge we all need to have - without which, major decisions can feel like pulling teeth.

So I put that knowledge in this 1 hour video.

In it, I give as much context as possible on how to identify and manage your nervous-system state, so you can dramatically enrich your decision making quality.

I want both your decision-making process and your outcomes to be in alignment with who you really are, beneath your fears.

Make yourself comfortable. I hope this video helps you make a highly-attuned, coherent decision at your next key moment.

A Life Insight

Sloth harder between efforts. Sharpen the axe. I say it all the time because it needs to be repeated.

If you want to genuinely build capacity in any realm, you need to:

  1. embrace tiredness sooner, and be quick to rest
  2. plan and dose your nourishment (all kinds) like a professional athlete
  3. become adept at totally locking in to your role AND THEN untethering entirely and becoming an elusive cosmic mist

Doing these three things will ensure you climb the right mountains each day.

Muy importante!

Remember, capacity building requires intentionality and then reflection; zooming in, zooming out; a contrast between doing and un-ravelling; becoming and un-becoming.

This is how you build without getting lost in what you're building.

A couple questions you could ask yourself:

  • "What can I do to be more strategic about building my capacity this week, rather than just burning through my energy?"
  • "What signals does my body give me during activities to let me know I'm passing the point of diminishing returns?"

If you can become a master of the minimum effective dose principle, you'll build huge momentum.

It means doing just enough to elicit change, so you can show up again, again and again while actually enjoying it.

The goal isn't just to be resilient.
Nor is the goal to reach some non-existent finish line (AKA death).
It's to build a deeply fulfilling relationship with the process of capacity building (AKA life).

A lot of people are over-intellectualising their problems rather than just building the capacity for those problems to feel less like life-sentences and more like fun, temporary puzzles. The difference? How sharp you are.

Build your essence. Gather energy.
Slow-cook your problems until they're tender.

What I Did This Week

1:1 coaching has been a massive highlight, as always.

Also, having Antonia Dolhaine drop in to guest facilitate a 90 minute Q&A in the Attuned Membership... fucking incredible.

Other than that...?

Let's just say there is some significant life-circumstance transformation happening right now.

It's an edge... but I feel really good in how I'm handling it.

I've been using instability to stabilise a new identity that is far less effortful and far more expressive.

Far more... spacious. More me.

I've been shifting some old, stale conditioning and creating beautiful new outcomes.

But I don't want to say more than that yet.

Words can reduce essence.

I'm just focused on continuing to embody what I'm preaching.

I will say this:

The gifts that come from change are often hiding beneath our most deeply entrenched fears.

Face your fears, or miss your gifts.

And trust in life as it moves you.

That's all.

P.S. Click this link if you'd like to work together to:

  • resolve bodily pain
  • dissolve some stress
  • address the subconscious resistance manifesting as tension in your body and friction in your relationships

I’m struggling because I’ve realised the world is run by YEAST. Literally. Sounds absolutely fucking unhinged. But I’m not the first to say it, and I won’t be the last. It’s going to take a few minutes to explain, but trust me m8’s, my logic is bulletproof. First, there is fear. Fear is not its own frequency, but rather, a reaction between frequencies.Fear is essentially what happens when our natural human resonance meets a frequency we perceive as dissonant. It’s what happens in the moment...

It's strange to look back at my life and see the depth of suffering and the immense privilege. Dad was already making $$$ by the time I was born. For me as a kid, there was no such thing as a "money problem". We just had enough. We could travel, buy pretty much whatever we wanted. Obviously not anything, we weren't that rich... but Dad had a Porsche, and we had a couple houses. Pretty sweet. In the years that followed, I have certainly experienced money problems. A lot of financial stress....
